LIB 101 - Information Literacy

This course introduces information and its sources. It follows the six frames of information literacy established by the ACRL – The Association of College & Research Libraries – A division of the American Library Association. Students will learn how to determine the need and access of information and how to incorporate information for a specific purpose, and to use it legally and ethically. A mixture of lecture, reading assignments, and informative recordings and videos will be utilized. An integral part of the course is the application of the learned skills to complete a research project assigned in the course.
